We are absolutely delighted to share some exciting news: Steep House Nursing Home has achieved a clean sweep, winning first prize in all three categories we entered for this year’s Petersfield in Bloom competition! This incredible achievement is a testament to the creativity, hard work, and passion of our dedicated team, who have transformed our gardens into award-winning spaces of beauty and inspiration.
D-Day Themed Display
At the heart of our success is the stunning D-Day themed display, a striking tribute commemorating the 80th anniversary of D-Day. This unique feature, brought to life by our talented maintenance team, Martyn and Dave, includes a vibrant floral arrangement on a landing craft. The display has captured the admiration of judges and visitors alike, paying homage to this important historical event while showcasing the team’s exceptional creativity.
Sensory and Memorial Garden
Our sensory and memorial garden has also earned high praise for its thoughtful design and soothing elements. This tranquil space, featuring gentle wind chimes, a calming water feature, and a colourful array of flowers and herbs, provides a peaceful retreat for our residents. The garden is not only a feast for the eyes but also a space designed to engage the senses and evoke cherished memories, making it a favourite among residents and visitors.
Care Home Garden
Lastly, our care home garden received well-deserved recognition for its beauty, vibrancy, and the care that has gone into its design and upkeep. From carefully chosen plants to meticulously maintained flower beds, every corner of the garden reflects the dedication and love poured into it by our team.
