Celebrating International Men’s Day at Oaklands House Care Centre
At Oaklands House Care Centre, we celebrated International Men’s Day in style with a memorable gathering of our Men’s Club in the cosy and nostalgic setting of our Vintage Café. It was a day dedicated to fun, friendship, and connection, and it brought a smile to everyone’s face!
An Afternoon of Games and Camaraderie
The bar was open, the games were unboxed, and the room buzzed with laughter and chatter as our residents enjoyed a selection of traditional games. From Jenga and Dominoes to Ludo and Shut the Box, the competition was friendly, and the fun was contagious. Accompanied by a tipple or two and a variety of delicious snacks, the atmosphere befitted the day.
Moments to Treasure
The afternoon was filled with music, stories, and shared joy as residents connected over their favourite pastimes. It was more than just an event; it was a celebration of community, where everyone felt included and valued. The bonds strengthened during these gatherings remind us of the simple yet profound joys of friendship and shared experiences.
Looking Ahead
The success of this event has everyone excited for the next Men’s Club gathering, with plans already in the works to make it just as enjoyable. At Oaklands House, we believe in creating opportunities for our residents to connect, have fun, and make lasting memories, and this celebration was a perfect example of that commitment.
A big thank you to our staff for organising such a wonderful event and to our residents for bringing their energy and smiles to the day. Here’s to many more joyful afternoons ahead!
