Solent Grange residents celebrate Valentine’s Day

Last Friday, the team and residents at Solent Grange Nursing Home on the Isle of Wight handed out 200 roses to spread Valentine’s Day cheer in the local community.

Visiting both Cowes and Newport, the residents split into two groups to hand out the 200 red roses, each featuring a handwritten message, along with love heart sweets.

Joined by members of the team, residents Kay, Gwen, Sam, Gay, Gladys, Josie, Iris, and Annette took a trip to their chosen location with their signs to brighten up people’s days.

Lifestyle Lead Leah said, “The group that went to Cowes was surprised by a lovely member of the public who was so touched by what we were doing that she treated all the residents to coffee. Several people expressed how grateful they were for what we were doing and said it was a wonderful thing to do.”
