The residents and team at Stowford House Care Home in Abingdon warmly welcomed the Abingdon Fire Brigade to their home, they came along to spend a delightful morning with the residents so that they could express their gratitude for their daily dedication to keeping the local community safe. The residents felt truly engaged and enjoyed learning more about the firefighters’ roles by asking hem thoughtful questions.
The fire brigade arrived in their truck and spent some time taking photos with both the team and residents in the lounge, whilst everyone enjoyed refreshments and delicious cake, before they left the firefighters thanked everyone for their warm welcome and expressed how they would like to visit again soon with one firefighter commenting “Thank you so much for inviting us, we have loved chatting to you guys and looking forward to do this again very soon”. Everyone is looking forward to their next visit.
