Nutrition and Hydration Week at Heffle Court

Last week, the residents at Heffle Court Care Home in Heathfield celebrated Nutrition and Hydration Week with a range of fun activities.

Running from 17th to 23rd March, Nutrition and Hydration Week is an annual event designed to promote healthy eating and hydration.

Alongside their friends and family, the residents enjoyed a week of fun-filled activities, including tasting refreshing citrus-infused water, indulging in sponge cake with fresh strawberries, enjoying hydrating ice lollies, sampling the new Aqua Burst sweets, and taking part in a Waterade flavour competition.

Deputy Manager Vlad said, “As with everything in a care home, it’s a team effort, but a special thanks go to the fantastic kitchen team. Every day, our chefs work hard to produce delicious meals with carefully balanced nutrition to keep everyone healthy.”

Home Manager Debby said, “Staying nourished and hydrated is key to living well, especially for older adults. Last week, we celebrated the power of good food and hydration in boosting energy, supporting health, and bringing joy to our residents.”
