Animal therapy at Solent Grange

Last week, the residents at Solent Grange Nursing Home on the Isle of Wight enjoyed a visit from Christine and her dog, Tinker, from Pets As Therapy.

Christine, a regular volunteer, brings 9-year-old Tinker to the home every other Monday to brighten the residents’ day. During Tinker’s visits, the residents give her plenty of cuddles and treats, which they thoroughly enjoy.

Pets As Therapy is a national charity that understands the unique bond formed between people and animals and the positive impact it can have on health and wellbeing. With over 4,000 volunteers, they provide a visiting service to various community locations, including care homes.

Solent Grange Nursing provides residential, nursing and dementia care on a permanent or short stay basis. If you are looking for a care home and want to find out more about our home, call 01983211567.
