Marking International Carrot Day with a Delicious Homemade Treat
Residents and team members at Steep House recently took part in International Carrot Day – a light-hearted opportunity to recognise the value of this popular and nutritious vegetable.
Carrots have long been a staple of the British diet, and with good reason. Packed with vitamins and naturally sweet in flavour, they feature in countless dishes across cultures. In fact, the UK consumes around 700,000 tonnes of carrots each year – roughly 100 carrots per person. If laid end to end, they would stretch an astonishing 2.3 million kilometres – equivalent to two and a half round trips to the moon.
To celebrate the day, our very own Sarinya created a beautiful homemade carrot cake, which was a hit with residents and the team alike. Freshly baked and full of flavour, it brought everyone together for a relaxing afternoon of conversation and connection.
At Aria Care, we believe in celebrating everyday moments that support wellbeing and foster a sense of community. Whether through shared meals, creative activities or time spent together, these experiences help to enrich life in our homes and create lasting memories.
