Last month, Abbeycrest Nursing Home in Sonning Common hosted a wonderful tea party for their residents to celebrate Mother’s Day.
To make the event extra special, the team created personalised invitations for each resident and transformed the lounge with beautiful decorations.
The residents enjoyed a traditional tea party complete with a wide selection of teas and an array of snacks, including cheese and biscuits, fresh fruit, crisps, sweets, and an impressive cake made by the talented kitchen team.
After the tea party, each resident received a special Mother’s Day gift as a small token of appreciation from the team. The celebration continued with a joyful sing-along to classic songs from the 1950s and 60s, which made everyone smile and feel nostalgic.
Wellbeing Coordinator Bina said, “We wanted to show our respect to the loving mothers and residents at Abbeycrest and let them know that they are valued and are amazing.”
