The residents and team at Riverside Place Care Home wanted to showcase their home, the talent within it and celebrate and thank all their volunteers, so they held a special Open Day as part of Care Home Open Week.
We were joined by family, friends and our wonderful volunteers from the local community. Our team of carers, chefs and wellbeing co-ordinators worked together to provide a musical afternoon with lots of the residents joining in.
We presented gifts as thanks to Johnny and Kevin who give up their free time to come into the home and sing for us. We also showed our appreciation for our friends from Christchurch in Ware, who come in every month to provide our residents with a church service and offer spiritual guidance.
On the day there was an Art Exhibition by our residents, Barbara and Milly, who are experts in watercolour and quilling. We also formally presented the prize to Barbara for winning the Aria Care Art Painting Competition.
