Beechwood Park Care Home in Alloa is proudly celebrating a remarkable milestone with Vickie, a special member of the team who is marking 20 years of dedicated service at the home.
Vickie’s passion for helping others started at a young age. Her dream of becoming a nurse led her to Stirling University, where she took on various placements in local hospitals as part of her training. She then joined Beechwood Park as a staff nurse, and since then, her journey has been one of unwavering commitment and compassion.
In her role, Vickie ensures that all of the residents’ care and nursing needs are met with the highest standards, managing medication, nutrition, working closely with external health professionals and keeping close communication with families.
When asked about what drives her, Vickie shared, “Providing care and compassion to the residents is the thing I enjoy most about my job – when I see I’ve made a positive difference to the residents and helped them in any way. Also, it is very enjoyable when you can have a laugh and joke with residents and brighten up their day.”
Looking to the future, Vickie’s aspirations remain focused on delivering exceptional care. She is committed to continuing her professional development, attending courses to enhance her nursing skills, and always striving to learn more in order to improve the lives of the residents she cares for.
Vickie’s long service is a testament to her dedication to Beechwood Park, and her ongoing commitment to personal and professional growth makes her an invaluable asset to the team. Here’s to many more years of care, compassion, and positive impact!
