Residents at the Coxhill Manor Nursing and Residential Home in Chobham were delighted to welcome back Browells Wood for another pet therapy session.
Browells Wood visits throughout the year, bringing a variety of animals depending on the season. In spring, residents meet baby animals including lambs, bunnies, piglets, and ducklings, mid-year, the farm brings miniature horses, and in autumn, the home is visited by playful puppies and kittens.
This time, residents enjoyed feeding the lambs and little Sausage, the piglet, while having a snuggle with all of the other animals. Louisa was particularly taken with Sausage, who dozed off on her lap – she stayed perfectly still so as not to disturb his nap. Jennifer shared that the visiting cat reminded her of one she had growing up, sparking fond memories.
The residents and team all thoroughly enjoyed the visit and would like to thank Browells Wood once again – they’re already looking forward to the next visit!
