Valentine’s Day at Forth Bay Care Home in Fife was a wonderful celebration of the love shared among the community between residents and team members.
The team put together a “Hamper of Love,” filled with sweet treats and love quotes, written by home manager, Fiona, and given to the residents as a simple but heartfelt gesture. With love songs playing throughout the day, residents enjoyed Valentine’s-themed arts and crafts, colouring in hearts and roses, creating their own special pieces and decorating the home.
A lovely highlight of the day came from Stan and Alice, a couple who live together at Forth Bay. Married for over five decades, their bond remains as strong and close as ever. Alice moved into the home last June, and Stan joined her in November. On Valentine’s morning, Stan surprised Alice with a bouquet of flowers and the two shared a kiss, sparking smiles and a few cheers from everyone.
The day wasn’t just for couples; it was a celebration of love shared by everyone in the Forth Bay community – the team and residents came together to make it a very special day!
