Valentine’s Day at Hamilton Nursing Home
Hamilton Nursing Home celebrated Valentine’s Day with a heartwarming visit from the children of Monkey Puzzle Nursery School. The children arrived with red roses and chocolates, bringing joy to the residents as they shared stories, played games, and enjoyed treats together.
Creativity was in full swing as the children crafted heart-shaped decorations, while residents made Valentine’s cards in return. The visit fostered meaningful connections between generations, with both groups enjoying the shared experience.
In the afternoon, the celebrations continued with live entertainment from singer and pianist Stephen Robbins. His performance filled the home with music and laughter, encouraging residents to sing along and enjoy the lively atmosphere.
The entire team, including the Home Manager, took part in making the day special, guiding the children through the home to visit residents and distribute roses. Many of the children expressed a keen interest in returning, particularly a pair of friendly twin brothers who enjoyed playing in the garden’s Black Can area.
Valentine’s Day at Hamilton Nursing Home was a celebration of companionship and community, leaving lasting memories for both residents and visitors. We look forward to welcoming the children back for more shared moments in the future.
