Recently, the Aria Care community came together to celebrate a beloved colleague’s 10-year anniversary with the company. Laura has worked in various homes in a range of roles including charge nurse and deputy manager before becoming home manager at Hillview Court Nursing Home in Sauchie.
Laura works tirelessly to provide the highest quality of care for residents with a focus on creating happy and fulfilling moments, particularly with the fun and lively events her team organise regularly. She commented, “the effort from the team that goes into our events is inspirational. Seeing our residents’ happy faces when they have taken part in something that is meaningful to them is very rewarding.”
Laura enjoys the many challenges that come with her role and working with a team who support each other through those challenges, sharing the same high standards and a passion for raising the bar. She added, “we focus on continuous improvement and I’ve seen so many positive changes in our service. I’m so lucky to have such an amazing team!”
Members of the Aria Care team, including regional director, Gina, and local home managers, Melanie and Fiona, got together to throw a party for Laura to celebrate a decade of devotion. Gina presented her with the Long Service award and the team had a great time partying and reminiscing on their many years working together.
When asked what Care from the heart means to her, Laura answered, “it’s about showing genuine care and empathy for our residents and striving to improve their quality of life with a person-centred approach, ensuring residents enjoy things in life that are meaningful to them.”
