#At Hillview Court Nursing Home in Sauchie, the team love to celebrate special moments in unique and exciting ways that bring joy to residents. Recently, they had the pleasure of marking a special occasion – Mark’s 40th birthday! To make the day more memorable, not only for Mark but the rest of the community too, Mark’s mum arranged for two beautiful therapy horses, Apollo and Teddy from Lunar Eclipse EFL Therapy Horses, to visit the home.
The horses, along with their handlers, made their way around to visit each resident, offering cuddles and lots of love. The highlight of the day was the incredible interaction between the residents and the horses, with some residents who are non-verbal expressing their joy through smiles and laughter.
The positive reactions from residents were priceless, and due to the success of the visit, the team are already looking to arrange another session with the therapy horses in the near future.
To add even more fun to the day, activities coordinator, Audrey, arranged for the ever-popular Baz to join them and bring his lively music and infectious energy to the celebration.
