Each Head of Department plays a vital role in creating a positive and united working environment, where teamwork is at the heart of everything they do. The leadership team works seamlessly together, always ready to lend a helping hand to one another. Whether it’s the Home Manager assisting with resident activities, the Chef accommodating special dietary needs with input from the Nursing team, or the Housekeeping and Maintenance teams ensuring a safe and comfortable environment, everyone is committed to going the extra mile. This culture of mutual support not only strengthens the team but also enhances the quality of life for the residents. By working together, sharing knowledge, and stepping in whenever needed, it creates a warm and welcoming care home where both colleagues and residents feel valued and cared for.
Celebrating a decade – A century + 1 of Wisdom, Love, and Memories!
The team celebrated an extraordinary milestone — the 101st birthday of the beloved Gladys! Surrounded by family, friends, and neighbours, Gladys was the star of the day as everyone honoured a life filled with remarkable stories, resilience, and joy.
From heartfelt speeches to a beautiful cake fit for a centenarian (plus one!), the day was a true testament to the love and admiration this incredible individual has inspired over the years. Here’s to Gladys and all the lives she’s touched in 101 wonderful years!
Cold Weather Joy!
After hearing the snow had blanketed the town, the residents made a heartfelt request to go outside and experience it for themselves. With warm coats, scarves, and plenty of smiles, everyone ventured out together. The joy on faces was priceless as they watched snowflakes fall, shared stories of winters past and even had a few playful moments in the crisp, chilly air. It was a beautiful reminder that it’s never too late to make new memories and embrace the wonders of nature.

A Relaxing Sunday at Huntercombe Hall
Our residents enjoyed a wonderfully peaceful Sunday filled with holistic treatments and soothing massages, all provided by the talented Wellbeing Coordinator, Delfina. From calming aromatherapy to gentle hand and shoulder massages, the session was designed to promote relaxation, well-being, and a sense of tranquillity. It was a perfect way to unwind and recharge for the week ahead. We love creating moments like these that bring comfort and joy to the residents.
Celebrating 20 Years of Dedication
Everyone at Huntercombe Hall wanted to take a moment to recognise and celebrate a truly special milestone— Minda the wonderful kitchen assistant, has dedicated 20 years of service to the care home! For two decades, Minda has been a vital part of the team, supporting with preparation of meals with care, ensuring the residents are well-fed and happy, and always bringing warmth and kindness to the kitchen. Her hard work, dedication, and friendly smile have made a difference in the lives of so many. Minda, we are incredibly grateful for everything you do. Thank you for your commitment, compassion, and the love you put into your work every day. Here’s to many more years!
