Ivy Court Enjoy a Delightful Visit to Local Methodist Church

A Warm Welcome and Fresh Brews at Bowthorpe Road Methodist Church

Ivy Court residents and staff recently enjoyed a delightful outing to Bowthorpe Road Methodist Church in Norwich, where they were warmly welcomed to join their monthly coffee morning.

The monthly gathering is organised by the dedicated volunteers from the church, and on this occasion, the coffee morning was supported by Charlotte from the Ivy Court activities team. The event offered residents the chance to enjoy friendly conversation, comforting refreshments, and a genuine sense of togetherness. A special highlight was the visit from Summer the Dog, whose cheerful presence—alongside her owner Janice—brought smiles all round.

The church’s kind volunteers even assisted in transporting residents in wheelchairs to and from the venue, making the experience accessible and enjoyable for everyone involved.

Bowthorpe Road Methodist Church prides itself in being inclusive to all members of the local community, where it hosts services in a variety of languages, including Cantonese, Mandarin and English. Resident DH was proud to share that “We learnt a couple of Cantonese words”, reflecting the enriching cultural exchange during the visit. R.D. also remarked, “They are all so lovely”, echoing the warm and inclusive atmosphere that defines these cherished community mornings.

These regular gatherings perfectly embody Aria Care’s commitment to creating connections beyond the walls of our homes, supporting wellbeing through community spirit and meaningful engagement.
