We support and encourage as much independence as possible, providing individual choice in such things as joining others in the dining room or in front of the TV for meals, or even with helping with daily life in our friendly community. Meet the Manager
Robert is our Home Manager at Kingsclear Care Home – here’s a little bit more about his role at the home in his own words:
“I enjoy my daily walk-arounds and getting the opportunity to see and chat with our residents, seeing them smile and make new friends.
I have worked in care since I was 18 when I started as a domiciliary carer and stayed in this form of care for over eight years where I progressed through various roles including supervisor and management roles. Within this time, I also passed my Level 5 in Health and Social Care Management.
In 2020, I joined Kingsclear as the Dementia Unit Manager, before being promoted to Deputy Manager and am now proud to be Home Manager. All roles have given me the opportunity to offer stability to the people living in our community and my colleagues.
The local area is lovely and it is important to us that our home is part of the local community. We always look forward to going out and welcoming the community into our home.”

Filomena 12.2.1944
🇮🇹 Filomena was born in Pietrelcina, Italy, She grew up with 4 sisters and 1 brother on their family farm 🇮🇹
✈️ Filomena moved to the UK when she was 20 where she started off as a nanny. She had various jobs some of which were being a cleaner, coffee shop worker and working at St. Peters Hospital 🏥
🏡 Filomena always loved to travel and would often go back so Italy to see her family 🏡
✨ Filomena is a Sister, Wife, Mother & Grandmother, she is a extraordinary women who radiates love and positivity all around ✨

👸As International Women’s Day is approaching we’d like to share some stories of the ladies here 👸
Jane 13.12.1945
🌸 Jane was born in London, she attended boarding school until her and family moved to Hong Kong for work, after moving back to the UK she went to Covent School, up until it was time for her to leave 🌸
👩⚕️ Jane first trained as nanny and moved on to
becoming a nurse, she was also a SEN Nurse 👩⚕️
✈️ Jane is a very well travelled lady, having lived in Hungary, Kazakstan, Dubai & Russia 🌍
💕Jane is a Wife, Sister, Mather & Grandmother, she is the perfect example of not giving up as she was involved in a motarcycle accident in her 20s where she spent 8 weeks in hospital 💕
✨ In her own words Jane would describe herself as "extraordinary one of a kind” ✨

🤩 This afternoon we had the pleasure to watch Tap About Town Show wow us with a fantastic and memorable show, of course we can’t miss out on Beryl showing off her dancing skills too 🤩
🧠 Winding down for the day with a bit of dominos with the girls absolutely thrashing our well-being team, proving that with age comes a great domino strategy 🏆

🌹 Roses are red, violets are blue, sugar is sweet, and so are you! 🌹
🥰 Starting the day off with giving the residents a card, rose and love heart sweeties, in which brought a smile to all their faces! 🥰
🎨 Once more we celebrated the most loving day of the year in style, starting it off by making our very own love hearts 🎨
🎤 In the afternoon we started off in the city of love, then we listened to the ‘Electric Eleanor’ who filled the air with much love and joy 🎶
🧐 Afterwards we played a quiz all about Valentines Day with the outcome of everyone winning in the spirits to spreading love 🧠
✨ Massive thank you to our amazing well-being to putting on a spectacular party and to our amazing chefs for preparing such wonderful sweet treats ✨
