Kingsclear Care Home in Camberley embraced Chinese New Year with a fantastic celebration to ring in the Year of the Snake! The wellbeing team—Harry, Sienna, and Erin—worked together with the residents and hospitality team to create a day full of fun, food, and festivities.
The day kicked off with a Chinese-themed quiz that got everyone in the spirit of the occasion. Residents tested their knowledge on everything from Chinese culture to the Zodiac, with plenty of laughs along the way. The competition was fierce, but Gill came out on top with a resounding victory! “It was my fortune to win, just wasn’t in my cookie!” she joked.
After the quiz, the fun continued with a special performance from the very talented Daniel, who was joined by his family and their loveable dog Luigi. The residents loved meeting the little one and couldn’t get enough of Luigi’s adorable antics.
In between the entertainment, everyone enjoyed a delicious Chinese feast featuring veggie spring rolls with sweet chilli dip and crispy prawn crackers. The team really went all out to make sure the food was just as festive as the activities.
