Throughout February our communities took part in our Heartfelt Moments campaign and everyone at Magna Care Centre in Wimbourne have shared their favourite moments that were captured with the stories behind them. The campaign was all about celebrating the meaningful connections and moments that make our communities feel like home. Here are their standout moments which were chosen because they highlight the love they have between their community and family.

Knit and Knatter
Our resident Linda with her daughter in law, Joan, as well as Linda and Leanne from Lesley Shands funeral director. Leanne helps us host a knit and knatter group every 3rd Thursday of the month which is proving popular in the local community. Everyone was having a really good giggle and Linda had brought her own knitting in so she could get some help finishing off an old project and it just emphasised how great these gatherings are.
Award Winning!
Angela and her family. Angela was super excited that our chef Katie had won an award so much so she asked if Katie would bring it to her room and asked for a pic with Katie. Lots of congratulations and showing off of the award happened! You could hear them down the corridor!!

Intergenerational Fun!
Our resident Lionel was being crowned and so many stickers placed on him by a child from PlayDays child minder .
We had invited PlaysDays children in for the kings birthday where we had tea, the kings favourite fruit cake and decorated crowns.
We picked this as it was a wonderful moment where Lionel was in his element being crowned.
30 years – such an achievement
Our very own Wellbeing Lead Claire has recently celebrated working at Magna for 30 years. We hosted a surprise celebratory morning with bucks fizz, pastries and fruit platters. All colleagues and residents were invited to drop in and wish her a congratulations. Claire gives her all to the Magna and it was special to mark such a moment for her.

Generations Meeting!
Our Home Manager Kayleigh showing Centurian Doris her niece at a open morning. Doris loves babies and it was wonderful to watch.
