Throughout February our communities took part in our Heartfelt Moments campaign and the team at Stowford House in Abingdon have shared their favourite ones with the stories behind them. The campaign was all about celebrating the meaningful connections and moments that make our communities feel like home. Here are their standout moments from the month…

89th Birthday Celebrations
Ron a resident at Stowford house and his wife Gill who spends every day with Ron, and their children on his 89th Birthday. It was a pleasure to host this special occasion and to see the joy of the family all together. Smiles and warmth was all around
Teddy Bear Day celebrations
We celebrated Teddy Bear Day, usually Rosemary doesn’t tend to interact much but, on this day, she was enjoying the company of the team and residents around her. She was smiling and cuddling the different teddy bears throughout. Teddy bears are a part of all our childhoods, and it was amazing to see how our residents reacted to the soft toys. Memories and fluffy bears all round!

Happy Birthday Eunice!
This photo was taken on Eunice’s birthday, when her two daughters came to spend the morning with her. They brought flowers, balloons, and birthday cards, making the day even more special. Eunice was overjoyed to have both of her daughters by her side, feeling incredibly proud of them.
Pet Therapy Visit
Pauline thoroughly enjoyed her time with the therapy dog, Tansy. It was heartwarming to witness the bond between them, with Pauline smiling and making eye contact as Tansy happily relished the gentle strokes on her back and head.

Friendships
“Showing true friendship knows no age; it thrives in the connection of hearts, where wisdom and youth meet, creating bonds that time cannot measure.”
