As the season shifts, it’s the ideal time to focus on the garden. At Aria Care, we know that teamwork leads to success, which is why we launched our Spring into Summer initiative this May with a ‘One Team Approach.’ Recognizing the value of making a great first impression, we united our teams to prepare for the summer ahead.
The team and residents at Oak Manor Care Home are extremely proud of their home and thoroughly enjoyed getting involved in our Aria in Bloom activity. We decided to concentrate our efforts on the entrance to home on the day. This is an area greatly enjoyed by our residents and their loved ones to walk around.
We focussed on placing more seating in the space and prettying up the walls with mirrors, a clock, plants such as clematis to be encouraged up the walls to add colour as they bloom.
The wall opposite the front door now has lovely little pockets where our residents have added individual plants. Sweet ornaments and solar lights have been put up so even in the dark it will be a beautiful sight. We planted a lovely tree, as well as adding a bird feeding station and insect hotels to further encourage the wildlife we love to watch. Bulbs and seeds have been planted to add even more colour and the seating that has been added will make this space special and a tranquil place to rest.
We really enjoyed this project at Oak Manor and are very grateful to have such a generous amount of money to make the space more special. It has been very enjoyable and lots of meaningful hours spent. We have more ideas and things to come. Well done to all the team and our ‘green-fingered’ residents who took part on our Aria in Bloom day.
Aria in Bloom will be an annual event, involving everyone across the company in preparing our homes for the upcoming season. This initiative will transform our outdoor spaces, providing residents and their visitors with beautiful, peaceful areas to relax and enjoy.
